This includes tips and tricks for building or assembling your own flexible, high performance and highly reliable external storage drives, with several examples shown. Too many brands and promises. This one I researched. Avoided the cheapo's and ones that were 50 bucks or more. 0 5/5 Larry D. Dodson - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Olympus 202030 H-256 MB xD Picture Card (Retail Package) (Personal Computers) I purchased this card to fill my garage-sale ($1!) Olympus C-740 ultra. The card was reportedly formatted with a Nicon coolpix.I remember reading on the web the C-740 was only rated to holdabout 20 shots at high res however with this card the countershows a capacity of 326 shots @2048x1536! It may be an error in theway the camera addresses the memory or a factor of the formatting.I haven't yet had the opportunity to fill it up to see if the counter is for real.In either case, to say I'm pleased with the purchase is an understatement 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 17, 2014

Good for pics, Bad for video

    0 3/5 D. Myers (Wenatchee, WA) - See all my reviews, May 8, 2008

Does very well what it is intended for

I bought this picture card despite the misgivings I have based on prior reviews that it is slow, and only records 10 seconds of video.I am happy to say that my gamble has paid off. In terms of speed, I've had no problems with this card. With video (which was one of the main reasons I bought this card), my camera, an Olympus FE-120, calculates the amount of recording time I have based on the remaining free space on the card, which is usually over an hour and a half. A previous review would have you believe that it only enables you to record for 10 seconds at a time. This is not the case. I was able to record continuously for about 4 minutes and I only stopped because I was done recording what I wanted to record. The camera indicated I had over an hour and a half remaining when I decided to stop. Here is a breakdown of the various picture/video quality and the amount of pictures/time the camera can take. Please be advised that the below numbers are less... 5/5 D. READ IMMEDIATELY --- OBSOLETE

0 3/5 NeciFiX (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Olympus xD-Picture Card M 2 GB (Personal Computers) This card is rather obsolete. The Type M+ is much much better. This card can only record EIGHT SECONDS of high quality VGA video at 30 FPS. On the M+, it can record up to about a half an hour, which is huge at least to me. Buy that card instead, which, incidentally, appears to be cheaper. I didn't and now I will have both the M and M+, spending almost $30 more than I need to. Don't make my mistake. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 9, 2009
